Trayer Tryon

Trayer Tryon is an experimental electronic artist from Gainesville, Florida. When he is not making headphone candy, he plays live with Levek, adding textured goodness to Levek's more acoustic-like feel. Tryon's solo effort, Liquidation, is very free in form, textured dark soundscapes. Tryon has also collaborated with musician Paul Giese on an album titled Raels, which is a more tame, melodic, rhythmic album. Download Raels for free off of bandcamp.

To All My Dear Friends Announces New Album

Marc Hennessey, the master behind To All My Dear Friends, is releasing a new album due in February of this year titled Transparent Voyages. His skillful string compositions teeter on the edge of an "indie band" and contemporary classical-influenced music. Based on the first preview of the album, Japan To Kenya & Back, he has actualized that vision further.

With this new release, To All My Dear Friends plans to tour around to cities across America. Marc needs your help funding this project. Preorder the album, donate, anything you can will help to further the release of Transparent Voyages and a supporting tour.

mp3: Hard Mix - Alright (Sumsun Remix)

At the beginning of the month, Sumsun put out a remix of Hard Mix's track "Alright". Sumsun picks up the pace of the original track, making it way more of a dance song, but not a typical dance song, like Samo Milagro, a super spacey dance beat.

mp3: Yip Yip - Been Caught Stealing

Yip Yip have been busy creating a new album, Bone Up, which should be released soon. To celebrate, I got my hands on a cover they did of the Jane's Addiction song "Been Caught Stealing". The track alludes to what we can expect from Yip Yip from here on, which to me seems to be a step in a more harmonic direction, while still retaining that synthy-quirky-video game feel.

Download the track free from their bandcamp, or check out the video below.

mp3: Forest Clay - Hexagon Necklace

With what originally began as a remix to our song "Hexagon", I'm pleased to present the first new material from Forest Clay since Vernal Pools, a full-length dating back to 2009. "Hexagon Necklace" is an emotionally charged track that was born from a sample of our song "Hexagon", then growing into it's own world with lyrics and melodies bursting out from the bottled up songwriter.

Forest Clay - Hexagon Necklace

When Totally Nebular aren't actively performing, they are working on their own projects. Gabriel, Tree Hopping, released The Beat Band a few months ago, and Weston, God Boat's album Beautiful Caps will be out shortly. Eddie Roqueta, Forest Clay, is working on a musical piece that will be accompanied by a film. I hear the music is pretty much wrapped up, and while filming for that project, he will be releasing more "song"/pop stuff like "Hexagon Necklace" which will be released separately as a new album sometime around May.
