Water Brother is the solo project of James Folker from Tallahassee. If you are familiar with the Florida scene, you probably know James from the bands Oh Fortuna or Aircraft; he is also a part of the Spirit Cat collective and intimately involved in organizing the annual Total Bummer festivals.
Yesterday, Water Brother released the song "External Circumstances" on Soundcloud.
All four of Water Brother's songs are available for free download.

Henry Krinkle
West Palm Beach's Henry Krinkle is Edwin Jantunen's new project after having stepped away from The Get. Edwin has been making electronic music, remixes, and DJing for years; Edwin is also an occasional live member for Sumsun.
A few hours ago he released the song "Stay" for free download on Soundcloud.
Among a steady flow of material, he has released remixes for Gold Panda, Julia Holter, Four Tet, and more on Bandcamp under the name The Lush Haus Remixes, which grew out of a weekly night of DJing and one band performing at Propaganda and various venues around South Florida.

Ben Varian
Ben Varian is a musician from Tallahasee, Florida. He is a part of the collective Werepossum, which began as a band and evolved into a website and a grouping of musicians that often collaborate and contribute to each others' projects.
I had heard 2010's Keeping Track of Time months ago and had been anticipating new material. In February of this year Ben put out his first full length, Potassium. Ben had this to say about the album:
"I decided to group together the EPs I've released along with some new songs to make one cohesive album.
I admit this is headphone music, USB microphone, soft-focus music. The music asks you to listen to it a few times so that you can find the little blips and blops and secrets that I've hidden in there, but doesn't insist because it recognizes that you've got things to do and you've got your own thoughts to wrangle with. The music insinuates and gyrates and talks around the subject because the subject isn't something that can be talked about directly. There are plenty of mentions of "it" on this album, and "it" is something, but it's scientifically impossible for me to tell you what it is, exactly. All I can do is approximate the sensation of "it" and layer sounds upon sounds with ever-decreasing fidelity and hope that you have a moment to dig through them and unearth my goofy impressions of holy moments."

Ben gives his music away for free, so make sure you grab both releases. He has been steadily releasing music since February, so make sure to be checking back on his Bandcamp.
For more info, Travis over at Too Many Carpets did an interview with Ben Varian.

Marina Orchestra
Marina Orchestra is a band from Knoxville. Taken from Marina Orchestra's biography: "Marina Orchestra is inspired by music from all over the world, and there is an inherent jubilance that the sun-soaked eleven piece group radiates.... It’s exotic, yet familiar. It’s a love of global music filtered through the ears of “indie rock” kids. It’s ripe with homages and a well-rounded respect for the whole history of music. But mostly, it’s a party.
The Marina project came about when Knoxvillian Justin Powers decided to channel his deep-seated love of African and Caribbean music into a band that would shake things up. There was an entire world of blaring brass instruments, dancing back up singers and wild handed percussionists that he longed to see on stage every night. Soon enough the ever expanding Marina Orchestra was quickly finding a way into everyone's schedule. 'The only reason I do this, is to look up and see the whole room dancing,' says Powers, 'That’s all that I need.'"
If you are familiar and enjoy work from Wingsuit and Dirty Projectors, you would probably love this band.
