New Colors - The Sacred Trap

A few months ago I made a post about New Colors remixing our Collocational Time Systems. He has just released a new album titled "The Sacred Trap". The atmosphere is really nice on this. A lot of forest-suggesting sounds, delay on rhyhthms, reverb everywhere, and a nice flowing mood to the whole thing. There is some electronic characteristics to The Sacred Trap, but it is balanced with a good amount of acoustic organic sounds. If you're in the mood for some good ambience, or have liked our past posts about Forest Clay or Soft Circle, I would recommend getting this release.

Sumsun is Judson Rogers currently residing in Tuxedo, North Carolina. I downloaded a first run thru of a collection of songs called LAKE LIFE--a full-length release that is expected to be out early 2010. This stuff is really good almost modernizing 80s, glowing synths with big beats; the mix is very punchy and loud. There is definitly a House feel to this stuff too. I'm waiting to hear more about Sumsun when the album comes out you'll know.

This is probably my new favorite band, it's too bad their album isn't out yet. Viernes is Alberto Hernandez & Sean Moore out of Winter Park, Florida. Their sound is heavy on ambience and feel good melodies, with carefully crafted noises used sparingly in waves of blissful timbre. On top of that, their videos are seriously amazing, I can't say enough good about this band, experience for yourself:

Viernes -- Swimmer's Ear

Viernes "Swimmer's Ear" from Nathan Schroeder on Vimeo.

Viernes "Liquid Tunnel" from Charles Bergquist on Vimeo.

they have more songs up on their page...
they say "SINISTER DEVICES will be the title of our upcoming debut LP slated to be released early 2010" , then an EP...once they find the right label. keep checking back.
