Ever since I met Tristian Whitehill he has been engulfed by music. He is an important part of the Gainesville music community, always collaborating with musicians -- and artists like The Church of Holy Colors -- and is frequently organizing or attending shows around town, supporting and building the scene.While currently lending his creativity and time to Gainesville bands
Levek and
MSNRA, he has continued to release a steady flow of music under Euglossine. In March he released
Jewel Hunter Geomancy on Rotifer.
Euglossine has most recently released a cassette with
Housecraft entitled
Floridian Abstract. Both releases expand upon quickly evolving structures with an emphasis on sonic detail found with his efforts for
Orchal & Vir's Elestial Sound release. The familarness may be do to the fact that
Floridian Abstract is snippets of unreleased material from the past two years. I anxiously anticipate what will come next with Euglossine.
